Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC)and API Basco have recently shipped ten (10) new hairpin-style double pipe heat exchangers to be used for natural gas production equipment in the US and Canada. These specialized exchangers allow for increased thermal efficiency and reduced footprint for the heating requirements of this gas production application. The equipment was fabricated at API Basco’s facility in Buffalo, New York, and was shipped to the OEM packager of the gas production systems in the third quarter of 2011. Several of the systems have been placed into operation, and others are in various stages of construction.
