TMEC Announces Block & Shell Condenser Order

Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC)and Linde Engineering, AG have recently been awarded a block & shell process condenser for use in a specialized chemical application for a Fortune 100 chemical manufacturer on the Texas Gulf Coast. The condenser will be designed by Linde’s design team in Germany. The exchanger core will be built in Linde’s manufacturing plant in Germany, then integrated into its shell in the US prior shipping to the customer’s project site in the first quarter of 2012.

TMEC Continues Supply of NGL Condensing Equipment in the US

Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC)and Niagara Blower Company have announced a new contract award for a Wet Surface Air Cooler (WSAC) to be used for natural gas liquids (NGL) cooling in a fractionation facility on the Texas Gulf Coast. These WSAC evaporative coolers were chosen for their ability to provide the lowest possible condensing and outlet temperatures without the use of mechanical refrigeration in the fractioning process. TMEC and Niagara have partnered to provide three (3) WSAC units to this facility over the past five (5) years, with an additional unit currently undergoing startup, and the next phase currently in production in Niagara’s facility in Buffalo, New York, for shipment in 2012

TMEC Announces Startup of Fuel Conditioning Equipment

Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC) recently started up a fuel gas conditioning system for a new cogeneration plant recently commissioned at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. This gas conditioning system supplies heated and filtered fuel gas to the 30 MW gas turbine generator, which, in turn, provides both electrical power and steam that is used for the cooling and heating needs of the university. Currently, TMEC is supplying similar equipment for another university cogen project that is scheduled for startup in the fourth quarter of 2011.

TMEC Opens Office in Denver, Colorado

TMEC Announces Hairpin Heat Exchanger Shipment

Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC)and API Basco have recently shipped ten (10) new hairpin-style double pipe heat exchangers to be used for natural gas production equipment in the US and Canada. These specialized exchangers allow for increased thermal efficiency and reduced footprint for the heating requirements of this gas production application. The equipment was fabricated at API Basco’s facility in Buffalo, New York, and was shipped to the OEM packager of the gas production systems in the third quarter of 2011. Several of the systems have been placed into operation, and others are in various stages of construction.

TMEC Announces Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger Contract

A major Houston oil and gas firm has selected Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC) for the supply of amine plate and frame heat exchangers on a major plant project in South America. API Schmidt-Bretten will supply the plate and frame heat exchangers from its facility in Buffalo, New York. TMEC and API Schmidt-Bretten were chosen over other competitors on the basis of price and technical expertise.

TMEC Announces Wet Surface Air Cooler Contract

TMEC Announces Expanded Relationship with API Heat Transfer

Thermal & Mechanical Equipment Company (TMEC) announced today that it will be expanding its representative & distributor relationship with API Heat Transfer by adding territories for the API – Basco product line of shell & tube heat exchangers, as well as adding the API – Schmidt-Bretten line of plate & frame exchangers in the same areas. TMEC will now represent both the Basco and Schmidt-Bretten product lines in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Colorado, and New Mexico.
